Casanegra is a gangster film that examines the backs in a city that is glorified from a western perspective. It is directed by a Norwegian-Moroccan Nour-Eddine Lakhmari, who won numerous awards for this movie in 2008 and 2009.

There will be given an introduction in Norwegian by Anne Kielland. She is working at FAFO and has among other things done research on street children in Africa. Her main field is West Africa, but the introduction will be a more general introduction to the phenomenon of street children.

The first movie screening by Møna Filmklubb is the Palestinian movie Rana’s Wedding on Thursday the 21st of January. The time is 18.30, and the location is auditorium 3, Sophus Bugges house, Blindern. The movie has English subtitles..Watch a preview here.
There will be given an introduction in English by the Palestinian human rights lawyer Hussein Abu Hussein from Israel. He will speak about the Palestinians situation in Israel, and about his work as a human rights lawyer. Hussein Abu Hussein is in Norway to lecture in a conference arranged by FUP (Fellesutvalget for Palestina). This screening is a cooperation between Møna Filmklubb and them.
